3rd Mega Travel Sales Expo on March 2-4 at the Abreeza Mall!

The Davao Travel Agencies Association (DTTA) will hold its  3rd Mega Travel Sales Expo on March 2-4 in the atrium of Abreeza Mall of Davao City.

Travelers can expect big discounts from participating airlines including land arrangements and hotel accommodations during the three day travel expo.

The 2nd Mr. and Ms. Davao travel ambassador for tourism and HRM students will be chosen from different schools. More than this, special prizes will also be raffled for the benefit of the visitors.

Among the participating companies of the said event are from travel agencies, hotels, restaurants, airlines, cruises, and several others.

An early Durian season abounds in Davao this early!

Durian season is here again! This is an unusual Durian season since it usually starts in August. But as early as the second week of January 2012 Durian has been flooding the market at a very cheap price.

Prices starts from P35.oo up to P45.00 per kilo , depends upon the variety of the fruit.

This is not the first time that Durian abounds a s early as January, but expect more Durian to flood the markets of Davao and the prices are expected to be lower also.

Durian is one of my favorite fruit, as they say “Durian fruit smells like hell but taste like heaven“!

Balamban liempo is pork belly stuffed with lemon grass, the same aromatic that is stuffed into lechon (roast whole pig). Very tasty and great with just a dip with local Tuba Vinregar.

The Balamban Liempo restaurant had their soft opening a few weeks ago and they can be found at Delgar Commercial Complex, Km 5, J.P Laurel Avenue, Bajada, Davao City. It’s the building right before the Bajada flyover.
