Another historic moment for Manny Pacquiao and Miguel Cotto when they met for their first news conference and first ever to be held on the field of the new Yankees Stadium at The Bronx in New York City on Thursday(Friday Philippines).

There was so much respect between Pacquiao, the pride and joy of the Philippines, and Cotto, the shining glory of Puerto Rico. Both Manny Pacquiao and Miguel Cotto, wore a New York Yankees jersey at the launch of their coast-to-coast media tour of their WBO welterweight title showdown in Las Vegas in November.


Miguel Cotto on his up-coming fight with Manny:

“He’s facing Miguel Cotto who knows how to move inside the ring. I am not Oscar De La Hoya or Ricky Hatton,” said Cotto.

“I am going to train the hardest I have ever had in my career (for this fight with Pacquiao),” added Cotto.

“He (Pacquiao) is a good boxer. I’m going to do enough preparations to beat him…I’m just going to put myself in victory’s way for this one,” said Cotto.

And Manny’s statement:

“I know that Miguel Cotto is bigger than me and stronger, but I will do my best to give you a good fight,” he told the jubilant crowd.

“Gagawain ko lahat para sa karangalan ng ating bansa,” he said.

Training starts in Baguio

Pacquiao will kick off his training in Baguio City. He will then proceed to California, where he likes to train, before heading to Las Vegas for the big night.

“We’re going to the Philippines, start training for this fight, just do like we always do…give a 100 percent,” said Pacquiao’s trainer Freddie Roach

Sarah Geronimo is going to have her “The Next One” concert on September 20 and the day before her major concert at the Holy Cross Gym she will have a Mall Tour the day before. If you want to catch her for free all you need to do is to be at the mall where she will greet her fans and sing some song for you.

Digos City just celebrated its 9th anniversary as a city and one of the highlights of the celebration is the street dancing.

Here are some of the images of the said occasion. There were only three contingents for the contest but still it is worth watching.

During the Kadayawan Festival 2009 at the Floral Float Parade, I saw Marian Rivera the newest “Darna” on TV. I just can’t believe my eyes, she looked at me and smiled.

Then all of a sudden she waved a hand at me! I could just died right then and there.

But then, there are a lot of us spectator that she waved her hands upon.

Well just how I wished it was me… LOL!

Although the posting of the images from the festival is a little bit late, still I find the parade worth watching. I was busy last few days ago. I hope you like what you see!

Fort San Pedro is one of the oldest fort in the Philippines, it is triangular in shape and made of stone and mortar. The tree bastions are La Concepcion, San Ignacio de Loyola and San Miguel. If you are in Cebu City and want to see some historical sites, this is the place to go to. It is quiet place to hide away from the busy city life.

Get inside the fort and just enjoy and relax there are a lot of spots where you can walk or sit and just enjoy the day. There is also a souvenir shop inside the fort that are selling native products from this city. And if you are thirsty or hungry they also offer some drinks and snack foods, nothing heavy for the stomach.

You can really see and feel that the building is very old and still have the feel that the architecture of the place is very Spanish. The garden is very well maintained, lots of flowers and very green.

The place is not very big if you compare it to Manila’s Intramuros. It is triangular in shape and if you walk from one point to the other you can see the whole place in just 15 minutes. So just enjoy the place and relax.

This is a favorite place to visit to not just by foreigners but also for locals who are not into malling. The place is quiet and there are not a lot of people around. Not much to buy when you’re hungry and the entrance is very cheap. Around Php25.00, that beats going to see a movie that will cost you in Cebu Php100.00 or more. And people around don’t really mind so it is a favorite place to get cozy with your date.

Just look at the couples that are really into each other. Bonding and getting to know more is very easy in this plce and relaxing, too.
